Do you want to sponsor the Justice for Veterans event?

We invite you to sponsor our premier event to raise funds to support low-income Veterans in Kitsap County.

For Veterans in or near poverty, an unresolved legal problem can be devastating, toppling a precarious balance of household income used to maintain basic needs like housing. Veterans with civil legal problems have no right to legal aid, unlike our right to counsel when charged with a crime.

NJP provides a legal lifeline for our Veteran clients. Low-income Veterans in our community too often face obstacles entangled by legal problems that are difficult to navigate without legal knowledge or advice. Veterans face problems such as:

  • Fighting debt from unlawful court fees that caused termination of housing benefits and increased risk of eviction.
  • Facing loss of service benefits based on alleged VA overpayments.
  • Falling prey to a fraudulent foreclosure rescue scam that would have led to the loss of nearly $100,000 in equity after the home sale.

Northwest Justice Project provides free legal help for low-income Veterans in situations like this. Generous donors fuel NJP’s fight against unfair and unjust systems for Veterans who can’t afford legal help. Our supporters are essential members of our community safety net.

Your sponsorship supports our annual benefit for Veterans—a fun and dynamic evening of stories, conversation, and refreshments to inspire the generosity of our guests. At the event, Northwest Justice Project will be presenting the Third Annual Veteran of the Year Award. This recognition honors a Veteran who has demonstrated exceptional passion and commitment to the care and support of low-income Veterans in Kitsap County.

NJP’s generous donors fuel the fight against unfair and unjust systems for those who can’t afford a lawyer. Join our statewide community providing a lifeline for legal aid by sponsoring this event at one of the following levels!
