Dementia Legal Planning Toolkit
The Dementia Action Collaborative recently published the Dementia Legal Planning Toolkit to help people living with dementia plan ahead.
Free Power of Attorney Clinic - May 6, 2021, 9 am to 7 pm
On May 6, 2021, Dementia Action Collaborative and Northwest Justice Project will hold a Power of Attorney Clinic. This one-day virtual clinic will connect older adults (60+) and people of any age living with dementia, with volunteer lawyers who will prepare power of attorney and health care directive forms over the phone or by video chat.
Get Help: If you are a senior (60+) or a person of any age living with dementia, you can call (206) 707-7281 by April 25, 2021 and leave your name and contact information. Someone from the Northwest Justice Project team will call you back for screening and scheduling.
If you are a lawyer in Washington, you can sign up to volunteer using our Volunteer Sign-Up Form. Read our Volunteer FAQ to find more information about volunteering. You can get free CLE credits by attending a training on Dementia Legal Planning Toolkit and Volunteer Lawyers! The forms used in the clinic will be the same as the forms discussed in the training video.
